Hey guys. I recently was made aware of a few small things we do on a daily basis that without thinking about it, we don't realize how badly we are harming our planet. One of those things is drinking from a straw. Something so small and so much damage that it is causing in our planet and to our wildlife taking lives of innocent animals and trashing our oceans and forests. I have taken the pledge to "Stop Sucking" and though it seems to be a habit that has presented itself to be a little harder to break, I am still willing to break it and here is the why and the how to reach this goal. Also don't forget to take the pledge at the end to help make a difference and to "Stop Sucking."
So many foods out there that are so yummy to your tummy but I have never tasted some granola bars such as the ones from This Bar Saves Lives. These babies are amazingly delicious and filled with healthiness inside and out. But before you go out to Amazon and Target to buy you some, let me tell you more about their mission and their name. I mean the name kind of says it all but let me tell you.
On September 20th, 2017, Hurricane Maria came roaring through the Caribbean islands causing death, destruction, horror, floods, and leaving islands in total darkness without any communication. One of those islands is my home of Puerto Rico. As we know it... La isla del encanto. Before the hurricane even arrived, I had already lost total communication with my loved ones. Last I heard from my abuela was Tuesday morning and from my little brother Tuesday night. The hurricane made landfall through Yabucoa on Wednesday morning leaving the entire country speechless with it's aftermath.
Growing up I was always terrified of being a mom but at the same time I wanted to be one. I was scared to see what kind of mom I would be or if I would screw up at the whole MOM role especially now a days in the judgmental world we live in. Don't spank your kids, do give them so many chores, be all organic, why are you using that lotion, breastfeeding is disgusting, you have to breast feed cause it's the only thing that's good for your kid... all these rules that people place and judge you for. Yet here I am, a mom, truly blessed by God with two little girls and super grateful that He gave me the strength to handle these crazy little divas.

Being a mom comes with loads of fun especially when you combine fun with all the different things you can do each season. Fall has just started here in the US and you can already feel the morning cool coming in bringing shivers to your children's little bones. But that doesn't mean you have to bundle up and dream of summer all day. Grab your kids and stay busy with these 20 fun things to do with them this fall season.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico was truly a privilege. Exploring the island and learning about showed me to appreciate it more and care for it. I'm not saying it's the most beautiful island in the world, but it's pretty darn close to it so here's a few pictures that will drive you to want to visit this magical place.
Good day everyone, I was scrolling through my feed on Facebook about a week ago and noticed that Facebook had the option to have people donate for a cause for your birthday present. I, without a doubt, immediately jumped on the opportunity. I didn't even think twice about what cause I wanted to support for this fundraiser and here is why:
Camping with dogs can be so much fun. The hiking trails, swimming at the lake, the midnight cuddles by the campfire but with fun outdoors danger always lurks near and you can’t ever play it to safe. I went on two camping trips with my pups and shortly after our first camping trip I learned how to properly get ready for my next camping trip and how to play it safe. After my years of being a Veterinary Assistant I decided to properly put together a First Aid Kit that will benefit my fur-babies in case of an emergency. I also found what items to bring for my pups for our next camping trips that will benefit both my senior baby, Opie and my crazy Boxer, Yara.
Friday afternoon after having picked up my daughter from school she couldn't help her excitement. I asked her what went on in school and she excitedly told me about how she learned about the solar eclipse and couldn't wait to see it tomorrow. My daughter is 5 so she doesn't quiet understand that tomorrow is really tomorrow. To her it's tomorrow, later, or next week. Once we got home she drew a picture of how the solar eclipse works and how the moon covers the sun and we were going to be able to see it with our special cool glasses that daddy got from work.
Kindergarten. Oh the horror and the excitement. The rush! As a mom you always hear all the horror stories of kids bullying other kids and even hitting them and then their mom's see their kids going home crying and never wanting to go back. You start to remember all of the bad times you had as a kid when other girls will make fun of you for any little thing or bully you around for being different. Then you start trying to think positive things and not freak out so much. Try to remember those times you made your first best friend, your first day of school, all the fun games you played during recess and then you start to pray to God that your daughter will have a beautiful school year with no issues. After all that is all we can do. Put things in His hands to guide your daughter's way while she's away at school.
