Hey guys. I recently was made aware of a few small things we do on a daily basis that without thinking about it, we don't realize how badly we are harming our planet. One of those things is drinking from a straw. Something so small and so much damage that it is causing in our planet and to our wildlife taking lives of innocent animals and trashing our oceans and forests. I have taken the pledge to "Stop Sucking" and though it seems to be a habit that has presented itself to be a little harder to break, I am still willing to break it and here is the why and the how to reach this goal. Also don't forget to take the pledge at the end to help make a difference and to "Stop Sucking."
Growing up I was always terrified of being a mom but at the same time I wanted to be one. I was scared to see what kind of mom I would be or if I would screw up at the whole MOM role especially now a days in the judgmental world we live in. Don't spank your kids, do give them so many chores, be all organic, why are you using that lotion, breastfeeding is disgusting, you have to breast feed cause it's the only thing that's good for your kid... all these rules that people place and judge you for. Yet here I am, a mom, truly blessed by God with two little girls and super grateful that He gave me the strength to handle these crazy little divas.

Being a mom comes with loads of fun especially when you combine fun with all the different things you can do each season. Fall has just started here in the US and you can already feel the morning cool coming in bringing shivers to your children's little bones. But that doesn't mean you have to bundle up and dream of summer all day. Grab your kids and stay busy with these 20 fun things to do with them this fall season.
Good day everyone, I was scrolling through my feed on Facebook about a week ago and noticed that Facebook had the option to have people donate for a cause for your birthday present. I, without a doubt, immediately jumped on the opportunity. I didn't even think twice about what cause I wanted to support for this fundraiser and here is why:
Friday afternoon after having picked up my daughter from school she couldn't help her excitement. I asked her what went on in school and she excitedly told me about how she learned about the solar eclipse and couldn't wait to see it tomorrow. My daughter is 5 so she doesn't quiet understand that tomorrow is really tomorrow. To her it's tomorrow, later, or next week. Once we got home she drew a picture of how the solar eclipse works and how the moon covers the sun and we were going to be able to see it with our special cool glasses that daddy got from work.
Kindergarten. Oh the horror and the excitement. The rush! As a mom you always hear all the horror stories of kids bullying other kids and even hitting them and then their mom's see their kids going home crying and never wanting to go back. You start to remember all of the bad times you had as a kid when other girls will make fun of you for any little thing or bully you around for being different. Then you start trying to think positive things and not freak out so much. Try to remember those times you made your first best friend, your first day of school, all the fun games you played during recess and then you start to pray to God that your daughter will have a beautiful school year with no issues. After all that is all we can do. Put things in His hands to guide your daughter's way while she's away at school.

There’s no better feeling then to party it up with your sister at heart before her big day. I’ve had the honor to help my sister in law plan the bachelorette party for her twin, my other sister in law. We have set out on a mission to throw her the best weekend bachelorette party ever. Here’s a few of the things we did that were “must do’s” or “must haves” on our list.
There's nothing better then a beach day with my family. The smiles, the giggles, the sand, the tanning sessions and even small and crazy swimming lessons. It's all worth it. I love going to the beach with my family and I'm sure everyone else can relate. I mean it is the beach. Who doesn't like the beach? A beach day with those you love the most. How much better can it get?
I love hiking and going to the beach but it's hard when you have little ones. I always find myself struggling on my packing list (cause we all know with kids its more of a packing list than grabbing your bag and walking out the door) and how to pack the lightest with two little ones. I've learned to finally figure out how to do so and though I don't go out as much as I would love to I have managed to make my hikes much happier and lighter. Here's a few of my must haves for hiking with my little ones and why I choose to bring each of these items.
There's so many opinions about breastfeeding out there. You shouldn't nurse for more than a year. Nursing makes your kids clingy and you baby spoil them. It's disgusting. You should never do it public. The list goes on. I have had my fair share of rude comments from family, friends, strangers, and even doctors and pediatricians. I feel like our society has grown to see boobs as only one thing, sexual, instead of what they are really for, nursing. Here's my personal opinion from my own experience with breastfeeding but please be WARNED before you hit "Read More" ... there will be more breastfeeding pictures throughout my post. If you don't care for breastfeeding please just view my other posts and skip this one. This post is not made to upset or cause conflicts but instead inspire and applaud all breastfeeding mothers around the world.
