Hey guys. I recently was made aware of a few small things we do on a daily basis that without thinking about it, we don't realize how badly we are harming our planet. One of those things is drinking from a straw. Something so small and so much damage that it is causing in our planet and to our wildlife taking lives of innocent animals and trashing our oceans and forests. I have taken the pledge to "Stop Sucking" and though it seems to be a habit that has presented itself to be a little harder to break, I am still willing to break it and here is the why and the how to reach this goal. Also don't forget to take the pledge at the end to help make a difference and to "Stop Sucking."

Why you should stop using a disposable straw!
Here's the horrible facts of using a disposable, one time use straw!!!
> Did you know that Americans alone use 500 million straws a day. Yes I said a DAY!!!
> Did you know that the majority of those straws end up in our oceans?
> Did you also know they can be recycled... but no one recycles them?
> Animals consume these straws and even get injured by them. Watch this video to see for yourself.
> If we don't act now, did you know that there will be more plastic then fish in our oceans by 2050? How sad is that?!
Yes all these facts are true and you can find them here. It is sad that this is what our world is coming too. Well there's a few ways that you can make a difference and stop sucking.

How you can make the change.
Here's a few way to change your ways and support the #STOPSUCKING movement.
> Don't use a disposable straw.
> Recycle your straw if you end up having to use one. Sometimes it slips our mind and before we know it we have slipped that paper off the straw and inserted the straw in our drink. It has happened to me before and am working hard to stop this. I swear it is a habit that seems much harder to stop then what I was expecting.
> Use reusable straws. Yes these exist and are amazing. There's bamboo straws, metal straws, and heck, I even clean and reuse the straws at from Starbucks. They seem pretty sturdy and easy to clean.
> And the easiest and cheaper option. Don't use any straw period. :)
